As I travel door-to-door through our communities, I am humbled by our neighbors who are finding their own ways to support our campaign to Restore Maine's Future.
Some are able to contribute time, energy and creativity.
Some are able to contribute financial resources.
(If that's you, chip in $5 today to support our campaign to Restore Maine's Future.)
However you choose to help, it deserves thanks and recognition.
Just in the last few weeks, several letters to the editor have appeared in the Lewiston Sun Journal from local supporters.
I want to take a moment to share them with you.
Has the qualifications
Thursday, July 3, 2014
I have been a registered Democrat for my entire adult life. I also believe that a candidate’s qualifications are more important than their party. That is why I am standing squarely in support of Republican Eric Brakey for Maine Senate this November.
In my time volunteering at Lewiston/Auburn Community Little Theater, I worked closely with Brakey and have seen first-hand how much he cares about the people of this community. He is dedicated to making Maine an even better place for current and future generations to live.
As a retired New Gloucester elementary school teacher, I appreciate his desire to return local control to our schools, empowering parents and teachers to again have a real say in the education of students.
He has the dedication to create positive change for Maine.
I hope all voters, Democrats, Republicans and Independents, will support Eric Brakey this November.

Will speak up, take the lead
Tuesday, July 1, 2014
I want to take this opportunity to introduce a great candidate for Senate that I am seriously impressed with and who I want to thank for speaking up for the public while in Augusta.
His name is new to some, but his courage and knowledge is what my district needs.
He is a man of action who backs up his words and, most of all, he hears people's concerns and responds.
I have seen him take on the Legislature in Augusta during public hearings. He is not afraid to speak up and he is not afraid to take the lead.
I have made phone calls to my neighbors about November’s election and I’ve shared the name and what I’ve witnessed with this candidate.
I hope others get to know him. His name is Eric Brakey. I hope other voters will join me by voting for him in November.
Linda Wooten, Auburn
A young, fresh face
Saturday, June 28, 2014
Many people had the opportunity to meet with Eric Brakey on June 10. He was seen at all the polling places in his district of Auburn, Minot, Mechanic Falls, Poland and New Gloucester. Brakey is running for the state Senate seat in that district.Brakey is just what Maine needs — a fresh face, enthusiastic and a hard worker.
He will work hard to help reform Maine's welfare system, while providing for those who are really in need of help.
Brakey is the face of the future and dedicated to making Maine a state where the young people can stay and become productive members of society.
Eric Brakey will get my vote in November.
Rene Fraser, Minot
